Hi marcrp, The Exchange 2010 Forum is the right place to seek the solution: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/exchange2010/threads Are you running Exchange 2010 SP1? And the error appears after you install the Exchange 2010 SP1? Do all the users have the same problem? Please check the IIS Manager->Default Web Site->Actions->Bindings... If there is a Host name existed, remove it and run IISreset /noforce. Please also run the ExBPA in the Toolbox to do a system check.Frank Wang

Apologies, I will post in the Exchange 2010 forums as well. Yes this is Exchange 2010 with SP1. As far as I can tell it did happen since applying SP1. All users have the problem. I have checked the bindings are there are no host names specified. The ExBPA comes back with nothing unusual.

A hours and hours, i find the issue (for me) In my case, i had to modify the authentification parameters in IIS management console. Caution : i'm not talking about files and folder permissions but the Authentification icon in iis management console when you click on each subfolder. For the subfolder ecp : anonymous : disabled basic : enabled digest : disabled Forms : disabled Windows : enabled ASP.NET : disabled For the subfolder EWS : anonymous : enabled basic : enabled digest : disabled Forms : disabled Windows : enabled ASP.NET : disabled For the subfolder owa : anonymous : disabled basic : enabled digest : disabled Forms : disabled Windows : enabled ASP.NET : disabled And it works, i can delete / move messages in owa !! I think that if you use Form authentification, you need to disable Basic and enable forms in those three subfolders. Arnaud

This worked for me also. Make sure you run an IISRESET in order for the changes to take affect. You can do that or just restart the World Wide Web service.

Ok, this only worked temporarly. As long as I remove the host address from my IIS bindings, this works. The problem with removing the host address is my Exchange Admin Console won't load until I put the bindings back in. There are so many posts on the internet about this problem and yet I don't see anyone (Microsoft) offering a solution.

setting permission for EWS only worked for me. I think this stopped working after i set EWS to basic authentication to enable BIS to work for blackberry users. For the subfolder EWS : anonymous : enabled basic : enabled digest : disabled Forms : disabled Windows : enabled ASP.NET : disabled

We have the same problem. Can't delete/move messages in OWA - works fine in OWA Light. We're running 2003, 2007 and 2010 (just installed). Error Code is 108 Qualifiers 49152 Outlook Web App couldn't connect Exchange Web Services due to a configuration error. Response code = "null, webException.Status = SendFailure". I've spent about 8 hours goggling and trying out all the suggestions listed on the Internet. I think the key here is that 49152 Qualifier. Doesn't that number pinpoint the problem? Who can tell us what it means? BTW, our bindings are: http 80 * https 443 http 80 127.0.0.1 https 443 127.0.0.1 as well as some configured for net.tcp, net.pipe, net.msmq, msmq.formatname. No Host Name anywhere. Why does our first https have an empty IP Address? Is that a problem? I'm not able to change that from the gui. Some tests (note that the first failure here is expected) [PS] C:\program files\microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\Scripts>Test-WebServicesConnectivity -allowunsecureaccess CasServer LocalSite Scenario Result Latency(MS) Error --------- --------- -------- ------ ----------- ----- cc-x10cas1 Default-Fi... SyncFolderItems Success 46.88 We have SSL offloaded to an F5 Load Balancer. The SSL checkbox is unchecked everywhere. We have not set up Autodiscover on the 2010 server yet. Edit: One odd thing is that we have set up Forms Based Auth for OWA and ECP in ECM but in IIS things look differently: OWA: Enabled - Basic ECP: Enabled - Anonynous and Basic Why would there be a mismatch? Thanks in advance!

Having same issue and all the quoted solution just not working for me, mine has to do with all users not been able to click reply. They get this error below, nut it is asking for valid domain name. Exchange SP1 rollup 6 Same Issue here -- removed Host name from bindings worked for a day -- then stopped working (OWA will not delete email) Owa light works. First get Event ID 3 on the CAS Server WebHost failed to process a request. Sender Information: System.ServiceModel.ServiceHostingEnvironment+HostingManager/30542218 Exception: System.ServiceModel.ServiceActivationException: The service '/EWS/exchange.asmx' cannot be activated due to an exception during compilation. If two endpoints want to share the same ListenUri, they must also share the same binding object instance. The two conflicting endpoints were either specified in AddServiceEndpoint() calls, in a config file, or a combination of AddServiceEndpoint() and config. . ---> System.InvalidOperationException: A binding instance has already been associated to listen URI 'http://napca01.root.local/EWS/Exchange.asmx'. If two endpoints want to share the same ListenUri, they must also share the same binding object instance. The two conflicting endpoints were either specified in AddServiceEndpoint() calls, in a config file, or a combination of AddServiceEndpoint() and config. then Event 108 Outlook Web App couldn't connect Exchange Web Services due to a configuration error. Response code = "500". Bindings are simply http/https with no host names. Any Help would be appreciated.

My Issue was in the config file -- Unfortunately my 3rd party spam provider edited my config and that fixed it - not sure what was changed - will repost if i find the change.

For anyone else stumped on this, I was able to reslove this by replacing not only the web.config under the C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\ClientAccess\Owa folder, but also the web.config file under EWS located here: C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\ClientAccess\exchweb\ews. This was my original alert. The precipitating events which led up to this problem involved recreating the Virtual Directories. It sounded really simple. It turned out to be a nightmare. Fortunately, I had second HUB/CAS server available. I hope this helps someone, Jason
