Exchange 2010: Receiving Distribution List Email as a Distribution List Member/Sender
In Exchange 2010, is there a way to prevent receiving email sent to a distribution list when you are both the message sender and a member of the distribution list being emailed? We have a user wondering if there's a way he could not receive email he sends to a distribution list that he's a member of. Thanks.

Unfortunantely not that I've ever seen, thats not possible. If he is on the list and sends to the list, he's going to get the email.

hi, If you want to achieve only for one user,i have test that you can use transport rule to achieve. The rule you should create like this: In conditions page, you should check on from people/sent to people/sent to a member of distribution list In action page, you check on delete the message without notifyting anyone Finish the rule. -------------------------------------------------------- For example, you have a distribution group named Group, five users in the group,A/B/C/D/E If you want user A achieve the goal. You can set the rule as this. from user A/sent to user A/sent to a member of Group Do like this ,when A send mail to the group,he will not receive the mail which is sent by himself, other members in the group will receive the mail. Notice:the rule only can work for one user .You can't add another user in the rule or create another rule. ---------------------------------------------------------- Hope can help you thanks, castin CastinLu TechNet Community Support
