Exchange 2010: Meeting Rooms not sending responses to users
We're running Exchange 2010 SP1 and have 3 meeting rooms (Room Mailbox).
When I first set them up many months ago, it was configured to auto accept meeting requests but decline conflicts. It used to send an email back to the user stating that the room was already booked and their request had been declined.
Something has changed now and I don't know what. I've read some other articles that suggest:
Set-CalendarProcessing -Identity "Boardroom" -AutomateProcessing AutoAccept
I've run that command a few times. The boardroom calendar actually does automatically accept requests, and if there is already a booking it deletes the new request, but it does not notify the user that their request has been declined.
Can anyone suggest what may be wrong? Here's the output of the calendar settings:
RunspaceId : xxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxx

Hi Blake,
I follow you command to test on a new created room mailbox (in my lab Exchange 2010 SP1), it works well (auto accept meeting requests but decline conflicts).

For your issue, I suggest you check the settings for a room mailbox (which can
accept meeting requests but decline conflicts) on your Exchange Server, then follow it settings to set on room mailbox Boardroom.
After you set it the same as other mailbox (which can work as normal), check whether the issue ( does not notify the user that their request has been declined) will
occur or not.
Here is a related document for you:

Hi Evan,
Thanks for your suggestions so far. I've been really busy so haven't yet had a chance to test creating a new room mailbox and checking if it sends confirmations.
I will try to get this done today or tomorrow and post back again.
Regards,
Blake

Something else you might want to check is the quota settings and status on those resource mailboxes.
If they go over the send quota (it can happen if the defaults are fairly low, and the resources get lots of appointments), they can't send the acceptance emails.
They get the over quota notifications, but the DeleteNonCalendarItems setting will cause them to get deleted immediately.[string](0..33|%{[char][int](46+("686552495351636652556262185355647068516270555358646562655775 0645570").substring(($_*2),2))})-replace " "
