Exchange 2010, User unable to open another user's inbox, calender...after being designated as delegate.
Just migrated to Exchange 2010 and 1st user has designated 2nd user as delegate with full permission to inbox, calender, but 2nd user unable to open the folders. Right click on 1st user's folders show show 2nd user has the rights. Also, when user tries to do a file, open other persons folders she receives a msg about trying to open a mailbox that is not part of your exchange server organization. Help.

How did you grant these rights and how long did you wait? Mailbox rights can take up two hours to take effect because of the way information is cached in the store.Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

Hi, For this issue, I suggest you run this command to check whether the 1st user has designated 2nd user as delegate. Get-mailboxPermission –id user1 If the problem persists, please feel free to let me know.
