Exchange 2007 sp1, console for Vista x64 possible yet?
Is there an Exchange 2007 sp1 console for Vista x64 as of yet? I was under the impression once sp1 was out, the console would work on Vista x64? Thanks

the console is supported on vista now, so i don't see why x64 wouldn't be; if not, you could always run a 32 bit console.

Maybe i'm not going about this in the right way then? I have upgraded to sp1.. So on Vista (x64).. i ran the setup.exe under the sp1 setup folder.. Right away it gives me an error: "setup failed due to insufficient permissions"..."the source was not found, but some or all event logs could not be searched" ... "inaccessible logs: security" Is this how i would install the console (IE: i dont see a seperate console only install).. Thanks

And your using the SP1 bits to install on the vista client right? Are you a local admin? Is UAC off? Also, make sure to install IIS and the IIS 6 compatibility tools b/f setup.

sounds like you've got the pre-reqs, maybe it doesn't install on x64, but that really wouldn't make any sense at all.

I found that if i right click setup.exe and do the "run as administrator" option.. i didnt get that first error.. now the install is working Thanks for the help.
