Hello All - I'm testing in a virtual enviornment. I would like to install Exchange 2007 into a Server 2008 forest. However, theExchange 2007 readiness check fails for 3 roles (h,mb,ca) I cannot install a 2003 SP1 DC becausemy forest and domain is running in Server 2008 "Longhorn" mode. Minus re-doing my "test" forest and starting over, is there any way around this? I've not tried this, so can't really help, but just a thought - is your Windows 2008 DC configured as a GC?

I am seeing the exact same problem. works fine with 2003 DCs tho

Has anyone gotten this to work? I have the same problem. I want to test both Exch '07 and Server '08, I can't believe that Microsoft would keep you from installing '07 on '08........

You'll have to wait for Exchange 2007 SP1 for Server 2008 support.

I did a mixed mode environment for my test... 2008 dc with a 2003 dc replicating the gc... still no dice Guess it HAS to be all 2003 sp1. A shame really

Absolutely, just to confirm, you need Exchange 2007 SP1 for Server 2008 support. I haven't tried the beta release, but a new beta release of SP1 should be out fairly shortly which looks much more complete so that may well enable your testing. Cheers Nathan
