Exchange 2007 not getting email
Hi Guys, I have a small problem on a single exchange 2007 deployment. The server is getting emails for the user accounts. We have a 3rd party sending emails into the exchange server from an application. These emails are failing to hit the server. Say my domain is blah.com. All emails to users @blah.com are working. The application sends an email to message@blah.com. However the header reported in the email is message12345@text.something.com. Any ideas? I have disabled antispam to see if that was blocking the messages, but still no luck. Cheers Jorus.

Hi Jorus, It sounds like the application is not doing something correctly. Have you tried checking the tracking logs on the Exchange server to see more on what is being received. Otherwise if you could post the header with any domain specific information scrubbed, that would help. Have you tried to tried acting as the application and sending email using the telnet command to make sure your Exchange server is accepting mail for your domain and isn't coming up with something like a "relaying denied" error. Actually now that I think about this more, depending on how the application sends the email you may have to add a new receive connectorfor the application server and add itsIP address in to the allowed IP list. Cheers, Rhys
