Exchange 2007 license
We bought an HP ML330 G6 server and it come with SBS 2008 & prodkey for it. I am testing out Exchange 2007 on another server (on Windows 2008 Standard) and it said Trial..I would like to know..If SBS 2008 come Exchange 2007. Once I enter the SBS prodkey, would it auto register for Exchange 2007 also? Thanks!

No, SBS license is only valid for Exchange 2007 hosted on the SBS server. You have to buy a separate license for that server. A configuration like this will cost you more. Any reason you need a second Exchange box? regards, Vik

Thanks for your reply..I just setup a test Win2008 with Exchange to practice migrating from SBS 2000 to SBS 2008...so this is a temp server for Swing migration.

Hi 1. About license In the United States, call (800) 426-9400 to speak to a Microsoft representative. In Canada, call (877) 568-2495. The sales are very familiar with different license. 2. As far as I know, many default values of normal exchange are different with them of SBS. Maybe they will affect the result of your test. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
