Exchange 2007 issue with update of recurrence meeting using EWS
I update each occurrence of a recurring meeting using EWS api through Java application. I pass the change key as same for all the occurrences.

While doing so, I can see that certain occurrences are not getting updated and the log gives the following error: The send or update operation could not be performed because the change key passed in the request does not match the current change key for the item. exchange ews.

But when I try to issue an update again for the failed occurrence using a restclient keeping all the parameters same including changekey, I get a success message and the meeting updates.

I am clueless with the error I get while I update using the application in the first place!

I am using bExchange 2007

Kindly help me with the issue.

Thanks

Hi Aravind,

According to your description, I understand that cannot update a recurring meeting through Java application and get an error The send or update operation could not be performed because the change key passed in the request does not match the current change key for the item.
If I misunderstand your concern, please do not hesitate to let me know.

I want to double confirm some points, please help to collect the answers for following questions:
1. Which version are your used?
2. Are you running Call a GetItem before call an update?

If the version is Exchange 2007 SP2 RU2, it seems that its a known issue. Please refer to Unable to send a Calendar invite with an attachment using EWS version of Entourage:
