I'm trying to install my first exchange 2007 server thats going to hold the Hub Transport, Maibox and Client Access roles. When I'm at the screen for readiness checks... for all 3 items (roles) prerequisites screen. its giving me the fololowing error on all 3 prerequisites roles. The NetBIOS name of the computer does not match the DNS host name. Ensure that the NetBIOS name is not truncated due to the 15-character limit.

hi,what is your domain name? dont use single-label names for your domain. and check your Netbios name character limit.Supported Active Directory domain names consist of one or more subdomains which are combined with a top-level domain. The subdomain and top-level domain are separated by a dot character (".") such as the in the following examples: contoso.com corp.contoso.com Single-label names consist of a single word like "contoso".Reference : http://support.microsoft.com/Default.aspx?kbid=300684and also please look at here ;Understanding Namespace Planning For Exchange Server 2007http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb885052.aspxregards,Mumin CICEK | Exchange - MVP | www.cozumpark.com | www.mumincicek.com
