Exchange 2007 edge host record
Dear, I ran EX Best Practice Analyzer , and I ahve two Edge in the DMZ and using different DNS than the domain DNS one of the result in the edge servers is that The 'Host' (A) record for server EDGE.mydomain.com cannot be retrieved from DNS server 'DNS Server IP of the DMZ'. This can cause message routing delays and other service failures. Verify that the DNS server is online and that the 'Host' record is present. I can perform a ping by name from my domain to the edge and vice versa and it works great , but when i excute nslookup by IP from the edge servers , they cannpt resolve any name , so should I add Revers DNS in the DNS server of the DMZ , I don't have any connection problem but when i check my servers from the internet tools like mxtoolbox.com . it shows that there is a delay in the response about 8 seconds. I appreciate your efforts, regards,

Hi, I do not think that we need to add Reverse DNS record regarding the issue. Instead, I suggest you refer to following article to troubleshoot the issue: DNS 'Host' Record Appears to Be Missing http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996973.aspx Mike
