Exchange 2007 doesn't accept Mails from Exchange 2003
Hi! My Exchange Server 2007 dont want to accept E-Mails from my Exchange 2003 Server. The whole Situation: I had an Exchange 2003 Server and installed Exchange 2007 on another Server. If the Exchange 2007 works fine i want to remove 2003 Server. To test it i made a testuser on 2007. I can use owa and can send Mails... to my old 2003 and to the internet. But when I try to send a Mail from a user on 2003 to 2007 it dont works. The Mail is just in the waiting. So I tries to send via sendmail: That works fine. I also accept anonymous Logins on 2007. So what can be the problem? Thanks so far!

Hello, Do you have proper routing group connector configured? By default a routing group will be createdduring setup ofExchange 2007. You may check the settings of it with below command. Get-RoutingGroupConnector | FL In which queue mails are waiting and on which server?

Hi!Well I think I found the problem, but i dont know any solution. The Group connector is configured. Thats not the problem. The Mails are waiting on the Exchange 2003 and can't be deliverd!I think the problem is that my Exchange 2003 is sending with the virtual smtp... and he does it with our extern domain. So I think the Exchange 2007 dont want to accept mails from mailserver.domain.de, he wants to get the mails from mailserver.domain.local.But I dont know how to solute it, because if i remove .de-Domain, every Mailserver in the world will mark us as spam Server!

Hi, You could create a new SMTP Virtual Server to test the issue. How to Configure a SMTP Virtual Server http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=3052&kbid=266686 http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=3052&kbid=268163 If the issue cannot be solved, please gather the following information for further research: 1. Please check the Addition queue information of the queue which the message stuck in 2. Oh thanks. I was on holiday, so now let me explain the whole thing: We get our Mails with a Pop3 Connecter. We send our Mails direct without a smtp smarthost. The Exchange Server got a local name like ex2003.domain.local, the other ex2007.domain.local. The Exchange 2003 use a virtual SMTP Server with the full qualified Domain mailserver.domain.de. I think thats why the Exchange 2007 doesnt accept the Mails. But the problem is that i can't change it cause of the spam issue. When I configure another Virtual Server the other isn't running anymore... so that wont solute my problem... On the other hand: How do I configure my Exchange 2007 the same way? And how do I tell him to accept Mails vom mailserver.domain.de? He should accept Mails vom every Server... also anonymous...
