Exchange 2007 and windows 2008 Domain Controller in one same server
I have installed an exchange 2007 on a win 2008 DC in my test lap.
i laso have a win 2003 sp2 DC running.
when i view server configuration -> properties ont he server -> system settingsin i can only see the win 2003 DC not the 2007 one.
this also means that if i turn off the win 2003 dc exchange stops working.
Is there any way to make exchange recognise the local DC as valid for GC?
yes the 2008 is GC i have checked.
I did try to dcpromo the 2003 away for test andi get a lot of errors in the event log

I confirm. if you try to install exchange 2007 on windows 2008 you've to enable ipv6 otherwise the hub transport will not start.

I'm having a similar problem with only my 2003 DC/GC showing up in the Exchange Console Server Settings.Exchange 2007 with SP1 installed on Windows 2008 Server. I have a Windows 2003 DC/GC and a WIndows 2008 DC/GC in the same subnet and site.Firewall's on all of the servers are off. The Exchange 2007 Server always authenticates to the 2003 DC/GC. Based on Event2080, seems like Netlogon to the 2008 DC isn't working?Process MSEXCHANGEADTOPOLOGYSERVICE.EXE (PID=1944). you must also give the ipv6 an actual address if not it wont work.

Marcel,
Is that just for this scenario? I have spoken with colleagues who have not had to configure IPv6 when the Exchange 2007 SP1 server is on a Windows 2008 Member Server (i.e. non-Domain Controller).
