Exchange 2007 and system public folders
We'll I have been tasksed with fixing the following. Somoene did an exchange 2007 project properly but when they retired the old 2003 exchange box they did not synch the system public folders with the new exchange 2007 before decomissioning itNow all clients ( its a mix of office xp, 2003, and 2007)are receiving an error stating Microsoft Exchange offline address book 0x8004010fHow the heck do I recreate a brand new global address list that can be distributed through public folders?I tried this article to reset the system public folders but it did not seem to help http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb331972.aspxthanks

To create a new OAB, follow these instructions and select the appropriate dist points.http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124270.aspx The article you referenced should have fixed any free/busy issues.

Andy I followed the instructions to create a brand new offline address book and that did not seem to solve any issues for thatEvery hour I get the following in outlooksynchronizer version 12.0.6423synchronizing mailbox 'name'donemicrosoft exchange offline address book0X80190194

I checked the article that you have. On both my client Access servers( they are in a windows NLB ) I see the even 1008 that the article mentions and that my offline address book has successfully synched.

Hi,Make sure that the OAB is set as the default OAB of the mailbox database. This can be done by getting the properties of the database and go to the client tab. Then confirm that the OAB is set correctly.Regards,Johanblog: www.johanveldhuis.nl
