Exchange 2007 and max message size with pop3 accounts
HI, we have Exchange 2007 SP3 in environment, and we changed the send/receive connector limit to 35 MB. All Exchange outlook clients can send and receive up to 35MB attachment. But when i change outlook profile for the same account to POP3 and try to send the large attachment but it fails with the following, 550 5.3.4 message size exceed. But I am able to send large attachment by using OWA Regards,

Hi If you are using PoP3, you should upgrade the limit on the Receive Connector called Client Servername on a Hub Transport Server. This Receive connector accepts SMTP connections from all non-MAPI clients, such as POP and IMAP. Otherwise, you can try using MAPI to send. CheersZi Feng TechNet Community Support

Hi How big is the file you sent? Limit should be set more than the file size. In my mind, approximately 30% more. So if the file you send is 35MB, the Limit should set to around 45MB CheersZi Feng TechNet Community Support
