Exchange 2007 and Outllok on the same Box
Hi team, One general doubt. Can we install outlook (any Version) and Exchnage server 2007 on the same mailbox....i know it ist not recommended for Ex 2003 due to mapi32.dll file. Will the same story is continueing for exchange server 2007?...or we can install the outlook on exchnage server 2007

Looks like there is no issue...read following blog: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/dgoldman/archive/2007/02/27/installing-outlook-2007-on-an-exchange-2007-server.aspxTim Harrington - Catapult Systems - http://HowDoUC.blogspot.com

Hi The link is clearly said that "Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 no longer ships with the client side binaries. Now it is supported to install Outlook 2007 on the same computer on which you have installed Exchange 2007." so we can installed OL 2007 on Ex 2007 Box. then i can found the mapi32.dll under the folder c:\windows\system32 in Exc 2007 server ??......is it right client side binaries????

That bit of DLL-____ is over. It won't use the code that Outlook installs. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
