Exchange 2007 Transport service keeps crashing after starting
Exchange 2007 Transport service keeps crashing after starting so mails cannot be sent or received. Below is the error message I get from the application event log on the exchange server. Transport Mail Database: The database could not be opened because a log file is missing or corrupted. The Microsoft Exchange Transport service is shutting down. Manual database recovery or repair may be required. The exception is Microsoft.Exchange.Isam.IsamDatabaseDirtyShutdownException: Database was not shutdown cleanly. Recovery must first be run to properly complete database operations for the previous shutdown. "This Error event indicates that one or more of the Extensible Storage Engine (ESE) transaction log files that is used by the specified message queue database or Content Filtering database on the Hub Transport server or Edge Transport server is missing or corrupted." Details, please see: A Transport database could not be opened because a log file is missing or corrupted http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb218101(EXCHG.80).aspxFrank Wang

Agre with Frank, Re-creating new transport logs will fix this issue. Its because of one log file is courrepted. Have you done proper exclusion of antivirus scan in server, Please check else you may encounter this issue again. Anil
