I have a e-mail appliance on the edge that handles all inbound\outbound traffic. That appliance sends notifications to all internal users when they have a message in quarantine. There is no way on the appliance itself to limit what users get the quarantine notification messages. I only what these quarantine message delivered to a small group of users. I created a transport rule to drop the messages unless you are a member of a distribution list. The rule details are below. Apply rule to messages when the From address contains UserQuarantine@mydomain.com silently drop the message except when the message is sent to a member of "MyDistributionList" I add myself to "MyDistributionList" and send the message from the appliance. But, the message is still dropped. However, If I replace the "except when the message is sent to a member of "MyDistributionList"" With except when the message is sent to "MyUserMailbox" It works as expected. Any idea why the distribution list exception dosent work?

Hi DVDKEA, Please make sure you have been a member of “MyDistributionList”, you can use one user send an email to the group, then check whether you can receive the email or not.
