Exchange 2007 Synchronization Issues with Outlook 2003/2007
Since we upgraded from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007 many users have been complaining of synchronization errors each time outlook is opened. The errors read as follows: 9:21:33 Synchronizer Version 12.0.4518 9:21:33 Synchronizing Mailbox 'Micah Birdsong' 9:21:33 Synchronizing Hierarchy 9:21:34 Synchronizing local changes in folder 'Inbox' 9:21:34 Uploading to server 'excdc001.CARDONENET.CARDONE.CORP' 9:21:34 3 view(s)/form(s) updated in online folder 9:21:34 Synchronizing server changes in folder 'Alert Manager' 9:21:34 Downloading from server 'excdc001.CARDONENET.CARDONE.CORP' 9:21:34 Synchronizing server changes in folder 'Responses from Training' 9:21:34 Downloading from server 'excdc001.CARDONENET.CARDONE.CORP' 9:21:34 Synchronizing server changes in folder 'Deleted Items' 9:21:34 Downloading from server 'excdc001.CARDONENET.CARDONE.CORP' 9:21:34 Error synchronizing folder 9:21:34 [8004010F-501-8004010F-0] 9:21:34 The client operation failed. 9:21:34 Microsoft Exchange Information Store 9:21:34 For more information on this failure, click the URL below: 9:21:34 http://www.microsoft.com/support/prodredirect/outlook2000_us.asp?err=8004010f-501-8004010f-0 9:21:34 Done 9:21:38 Microsoft Exchange offline address book 9:21:38 Download successful Everything else seems to be working fine but thiserroris consistent. Most of the articles I read referenced problems on the client side. Because of the widespread nature of this issue in our organization, I am leaning towards this being more of an Exchange Server issue.

You should be able to get more information if you enable the additional logging in the Outlook client. Link here: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HA012304211033.aspx This should generate log files on the client with Outlook installed which give a fair bit of information Cheers, Rhys
