Exchange 2007 Storage Groups and Databases
We recently migrated from Exchange 2003 enterprise to Exchange 2007 Enterprise. I have entered the key correctly but still unable to mount more than 5 databases. I know the enterprise product allows for 50 storage groups and databases. I've reinsatlled SP3 Rollup 7 too. Microsoft Exchange Error Failed to mount database 'CCC'. CCC Failed Error: Exchange is unable to mount the database that you specified. Specified database: HCEXCHSRV\Third Storage Group\CCC; Error code: MapiExceptionCallFailed: Unable to mount database. Exactly more that 5 you can't mount? Have you tried when possible to restart the IS service and/or the server?Sukh

I can only mount (4) users databases and (1) public folder. I have tried several times to reboot and restart the IS service.

If you start a new thread for the same issue it's a good idea to link to the old one otherwise you might get a lot of repeat questions: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesvradmin/thread/db625f29-c5fb-4869-8bbd-3ee3f173d022/#b735dcac-2c84-4e2f-bd6a-e39a02afeabf

I think you may want to open a call with MSFT, it doesn't make sense to me. Was this a new install?Sukh

Filter on the event source "MSExchangeIS Mailbox Store" and see if there's an eventID 1216 (Standard) or 1217 (Enterprise) when you start the server. If it's 1216 the outfit that sold you the key gave you the wrong one. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
