Exchange 2007 Sharing GAL's in different Domain sites but within the same network perimeter.
I have two AD sites within the same network perimeter. Example: Site A uses Office1.com and site B uses office.local. Both sites uses the public DNS name officepro.com. Site B has Exch2007 setup with officepro.com as its internal relay. Site A forward all email for Site B using a Hub transport server. Both sites are separated by a cisco switch and the necessary rights have been enter to allow smtp traffic. Also, Site B emails are forwarded to Site A through a Edge Transport server. Question: How can allow site A and Site B to share Calendars?

I have never had to do this personally, but there are some good resources that may help you out. This is probably going to be a lot simpler in E2K10 than it is today. For starters, take a look at this presentation to see what options are available for you and your users. http://www.slideshare.net/simonbarratt/outlook-2007-and-exchange-2007-even-better-together-presentationThis technical article goes in to a bit more detail on the process.http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2006/10/23/429296.aspxJim McBee - Blog - http://mostlyexchange.blogspot.com

Hi, If you would like share Gal in two forest and share Free/Busy information, you could refer to following article: Connecting Forest Topologies http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124734.aspx Nevertheless, if you would like to share calendar (Open Other User's Folder), I would like to explain that we are not able to achieve this in Exchange deployed in multiple forests scenario. Following article describes the problem: Using Multiple Forests with Exchange http://technet.microsoft.com/hi-in/library/aa998404(en-us,EXCHG.65).aspx The disadvantages associated with this scenario include the following: Although you can synchronize free and busy information across forests and use it to schedule meetings, you cannot use the Open Other User's Folder feature in Microsoft Office Outlook to view the calendar details for a user in another forest.
