Exchange 2007 Service Pack/s
We have an exchange 2007 server. When I go into the EMC and click on help and then "about exchange 2007" I dont see any service packs listed. Thus, I am assuming that we have none installed. Is SP2 the latest one for Exchange 2007? and also, would this SP installation require me to reboot the exchange server?

It won't show there, you can reference the build number on the site below which will tell you what version, sp and rollup level you're on. You can also check add\remove programs to see installed sp's and rollups. Yes any SP or rollup installation will require reboot. SP3 plus RU 3 is the latest for 2007. Actually, for Exchange 2007, SP3 with Update Rollup 3 is the latest: http://howdouc.blogspot.com/p/exchange-references.html Yes, you will need to reboot Exchange servers. Also there will be an AD Schema extention before installing a higher level SP.Tim Harrington | MVP: Exchange | MCITP: EMA 2007/2010, MCITP: Lync 2010, MCITP: Server 2008, MCTS: OCS | Blog: http://HowDoUC.blogspot.com | Twitter: @twharrington

The ver that I have installed is 08.02.0301.000. Based on the link that TWHarrington provided above, looks like we are indeed behind the 8 ball, correct? Can we just go and install the latest one SP3 RU3? or do we need to build up to SP3? What about this AD Schema work is this all in an installation procedure? I an new to this exchange environment.

Install SP3 first, reboot then download the rollup 3 for SP3 and reboot. The schema extension will occur during the installation of SP3 no need to do anything manual.James Chong MCITP | EA | EMA; MCSE | M+, S+ Security+, Project+, ITIL msexchangetips.blogspot.com
