Hello,
Running Exchange 2007 on an SBS and we are unable to receive from hotmail. All other domains can send fine (gmail, etc.)
Performed the telnet test, and surprisingly enough, I am able to send through telnet. But when I send from my hotmail account, I don't get anything and I don't even see anything in the queue.
Any ideas?

So I actually do get an NDR, almost immediately. I did not notice it before because incoming mail to this hotmail account was being forwarded to another account. I get the following:

If that's all you're getting, it's going to be hard to figure out what might be wrong.
If you haven't done so already, enable SMTP protocol logging and see if you can see the connection attempt in the logs.

I agree, I was getting too frustrated with this.
However, this morning, magically, it started working again! Emails from Hotmail are coming through fine...
