Thank you, it was the permission. I have added the child domain admin account to Enterprise Admin account and the installation worked. I have another issue, the CCR Active mailbox server installation failed with the following error, however I can see the mailbox server on EMC and cluster offline. I am installing the Passive Node now hoping that after Passive node install everything will work. If not please advise what are the best actions to take, do I need to uninstall CCR Mailbox Server on both node and reinstall again? [15/03/2012 16:52:46] [1] 0. ErrorRecord: Clustered mailbox server 'EMAMBX01' is not in an started (online) state (Pending). The cluster resource 'First Storage Group/Mailbox Database (EMAMBX01)' is in state (Failed). Once again thank you.

Hi, I am having issues with Exchage 2007 Sp2 new installation (not upgrade), Here is my set up: I have a empty root domain and two child domains (win 2008 Sp1, Win2003 forest/domain functional level), one of the child domain have users and other child domain for Exchange (Exchange domain). I have prepared the schema on the root domain's DC (schema master), and ran setup /PrepareAD on Exchange domain (child domain), and also ran setup /PrepareDomain on the other child domain's DC that has all the users. When I try to install HUB and CAS role (Win 2008 Sp1), I get 'Could not find Default Administrator 'Exchange Administrator Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)'. I have checked with ADISIEDIT (under CN=Administrative Group,CN=MyExchangeLab,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=mylabdomain,DC=net) and I can see the Administrator Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT) is there. All Exchange Groups have been created on Root Domain What am I doing wrong, would appreciate if you could put me in the right direction. Thank you in advance.

Hello, When a Domain admin account is used to install the first Exchange server on the child Domain, Make sure the account is member of "Exchange Organization Administrators". If it is non-admin account, the account must be added to the Local administrators Group of the Server where the Exchange is being installed and member of "Exchange Organization Administrators". Please make sure the following things are true: Prepare Schema is sucessful on the root Domain. Prepare AD is sucessful on the Root Domain. Prepare Domain is sucessful on the Child Domain. The sechma has been extended with the same version of Exchange 2007 as the installation media of the First Exchange server on the Child Domain. If the Active Directory servers are 32 bit, same version of 32 bit Exchange 2007 software can be used to extend the schema. Thanks, Simon
