Greetings Anil,Well... that certainly isn't the norm. I just installed an Exchange 2007 SP2 server after reading your post and it is already complete. Typically, if it met the prerequisites and went through the confirmation section with passing colors it shouldn't be stalled the way it is.May I ask, do you have IPv6 disabled? Just curious... trying to determine what could be different on your end that isn't causing me trouble on mine.I guess another question is if this is a virtual server and if so, how much memory do you have allocated for it? Are you virtualizing with Hyper-V or ESX or something else.Again, these are just shots in the dark to see if we can work through this.J. That's far too long. The C:\ExchangeSetupLogs\ExchangeSetup.log and Application Event Log should give some clues. You could start off comparing ExchangeSetup.logs. If nothing helps, I would have reinstalled. Take it as a disaster recovery test.To J. Peter Bruzzese: Thanks for your CBT Nuggets courses. I am in process to install exchange 2007 SP2 on one fo our HUB-CAS role server. It is still running since 20+ hours without any error. it is top at "configuring performance counter for transport service" Have you checked out that all monitoring agents are disabled? Have you checked out that the server is in perfect health? Still, what about event logs and the setup log?My understanding is that you are upgrading to SP2? This is what I would have done instead of using too much time troubleshooting. * Evict the machine from an NLB cluster if it is part of one. * Take a backup of custom configurations and make some notes* Copy the mail.que off to another server, if the queue still contains messages to another server* Reset the Active Directory account for the server. * Reinstall Windows with the same name, IP address, disk configuration, patch level and so on.* Install Exchange from the SP2 files: Setup /Mode:RecoverServer.* Document what you are doing --> Disaster Recovery procedure. Most of the configuration information is contained in the Active Directory configuration partition and read from there. Smith,I appriciate your response ! Here i have moved on one step, I have removed HUB-CAS role from server but i see some entry in AD (ADSIEdit). Also can see this server listed in output when run cmdlet "get-exchangeserver".Here i am thinking to remove entry from AD manually and then reinstall OS and then install HUB-CAS but i have one issue here.We have kept FSW (quoram) on this server and not sure moving file share witness to toehr node will not cause any problem to my CCR in site. Please come with all option which you have ?? :)Anil
