Exchange 2007 SP2 in Windows Server 2008 R2
Dear all,I have to install Exchange 2007 SP2 in a Windows Server 2008 R2 Ent server that is joined in an Windows 2003 Std Domain. MS has release an advisory on Exchange 2007 in Windows Server 2008 R2 environment being not supported. So my question, is it not supported by MS but the installation will go thorough or it will not install at all. Thanks.

Unless this is a lab experiment, If its not supported, why would you want to install it?I would imagine you could find some work-arounds to get it installed, but from what I understand SP2 setup will fail and Powershell will have issues as well.

I agree, if it's not supported by MS this for a reason. I wouldn't attempt it. As for a lab I would try to mirror my production as close as possible.Mark Morowczynski|MCT| MCSE 2003:Messaging, Security|MCITP:ES, SA,EA|MCTS:Windows Mobile Admin|Security+|http://almostdailytech.com
