Exchange 2007 SP2 and Server 2008 R2 Domain Controller
Hi everyone,Can someone please clear this query up for me, is Exchange 2007 SP2 supported on a Windows Server 2008 R2 domain controller? Almost all posts I read say that it is not supported but yet the following compatibility matrix from Technet states that it is supported. What is the correct answer on this?ThanksAlistair

The way I understand it is this (confirmed by the Exchange Team Blog and Technet):Exchange Server 2007 SP2 is supported within a 2008 R2 Active Directory Environment.Exchange Server 2007 SP2 is currently NOT supported to be installed on Windows Server 2008 R2. However, Exchange Server 2007 SP3, which is due to be released in the second half of 2010, is noted as having support to be installed on Windows Server 2008 R2.So, at the moment, if you have an R2 AD Environment, you'd need to install a none-R2 2008 Server for any Exchange Servers you may have.Hope this helps.
