Exchange 2007 SP2 RU4 CCR cluster to iSCSI connected cluster
We have a 2 node Exchange 2007 CCR cluster, one physical and one virtual. This setup is out of compliance for full MS support and does not support Unified Messaging so I would like to move it to a standard iSCSI mounted Exchange 2007 exchange cluster with the DB on a iSCSI mounted volume, and only one copy of it on the SAN vs. the CCR 2 copy model. There will probably still be one physical and one virtual node but with the removed overhead of the CCR log replay I think it'll perform much better. How difficult is this to achieve? I can have downtime between 9 pm and 5 am MST to accomplish this task. There are many issues with the virtual node in the CCR setup and I just want to move to a setup that does not have as much data and log replay required. Your thoughts, suggestions, and tips are greatly appreciated.
