Exchange 2007 SP1 and Wildcard Certs POP3/IMAP
It seems that my Exchange 2007 server does not like my wildcard certificate (*.domain.com) for POP3 or IMAP after upgrading to SP1. Luckily I still have valid certificates for POP3 and IMAP dns names. Anyone have any idea if there is a way to make this work in SP1?Here is the error I receive in my event log:Event Type: ErrorEvent Source: MSExchangePOP3Event Category: General Event ID: 1102Date: 12/11/2007Time: 9:12:29 PMUser: N/AComputer: GEMINIDescription:The POP service failed to connect using SSL or TLS encryption. A valid certificate is not configured to respond to SSL/TLS connections. Check the configured hostname as well as which certificates are installed in the Personal Certificates store of the Computer. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
