Exchange 2007 SP1 - Just one user cannot retrieve new e-mails, cannot send.
I have a Exchange 2007 SP1 server that is not letting one particular user receive their e-mail. It isn't a Outlook or machine problem, as if you try a new profile on their machine, or a different machine the problem persists. Also logging into OWA, there are no new e-mails. I can see in EMC on that user's properties, that the e-mail count is going up. I have verified through a telnet session that Exchange is queuing mail for the user. This is for both internal and external e-mails. The user can still send e-mail, but cannot receive. Well, I say cannot receive, they're being received by the server, but never show up in Outlook 2003 or OWA. I've even tried POP and IMAP clients and no e-mails since October 14th, and the count on the server has gone up by 303 e-mails received since then. This user also has a Windows Mobile phone that syncs OTA, while I can see it is still syncing, it cannot see any new e-mail, either. What else can I do to troubleshoot this? I am against deleting the mailbox and recreating it, there are e-mails that would be lost. Anything I can do to recover the mailbox?

I think you are going to need to delete and recreate the mailbox. It sounds like something in the mailbox is corrupt and causing problems. If you have the "Keep deleted mailboxes" turned on then you can delete the users mailbox and attach it to a temp account to continue to work on retrieving the email's the user is missing. This way the user will start receiving new email's. Once you have the user working with a new mailbox then I would contact MS support so they can dig into the mailbox to see what is causing the problem.ThanksWill

Hi,I suggest you move the problematic user from the current mailbox store to another store, then check this issue.ThanksAllen
