Exchange 2007 Logs been generated
Hi All, On one particular storage group on my SCC cluster Im getting loads of logs generated at a rate of 1 per second, with about 350 users on the SG. Whats the best way to troubleshoot this? Thomas V

Dear customer: Which version and SP information is your Exchange server? Did you install the latest Update Rollup 5 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1? If not, please install it and check the effect. Description of Update Rollup 5 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/953467/en-us Also, please try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue: 1. Open EMS, run the following command and analyze the result. Get-LogonStaticstics -database "SERVERNAME\STORAGE GROUP NAME\STORE NAME" | fl -property username,servername,datbase,clientipaddress,rpccallssucceeded wrap Note: replace SERVERNAME\STORAGE GROUP NAME\STORE NAME with your exact mailbox store 2. Reboot the server in clean boot mode and test this issue again. To do so: a. Extract the msconfig.exe in attachment on to this server b. Run msconfig.exe c. Click the Startup tab. d. Click Disable All, and then Click Ok. e. Click the Services tab and then click to check the "Hide All Microsoft Services" box. f. Clear all the check boxes left. g.Click Restart to restart the server. 3. Run Best Practices Analyzer tool a. Open Exchange Management Console b. Go to Tools, open Best Practices Analyzer c. Click "Go to welcome screen" d. Follow the instruction e. In Select type of scan to perform, choose Health Check f. Click Start Scanning g. When if finishes, click "View a report of this Best Practices scan" h. Click Export Report and choose export the report to a .xml file and send this .xml file to v-rocwan@microsoft.com for analyze.
