Exchange 2007 Login Prompt Problem
Hello i am hoping someone can help, i have spent around 20 hours on this problem and i am unsure what to do next. Around a week ago our Windows 7/Outlook 2010 clients began recieveing the credentials login prompt every 10 minutes or so, i have been through every potential fix on the internet but with no success. There is one area which i think the problem may exist which is AutoDiscover as some Outlook tests were failing on this but i know very little about fixing Autodiscover problems. We have an SBS2008 with Exchange Server 2007 SP2 Rollup 5. Any help would be appreciated.

SBS is setup using the wizards, and wants to use remote.example.com for everything. Therefore the first thing I would do is run the Fix My Network wizard from the management console. Ensure that the clients are getting DNS ONLY from the SBS server, not a router or any other external DNS Servers. It might be something as simple as the SSL certificate has expired and it needs replacing. Simon.Simon Butler, Exchange MVP Blog | Exchange Resources | In the UK? Hire Me.

Hi Lee, Please post the failing message when you Test E-mail AutoConfiguration. Please check whether there is any error event in the Event Viewer. Please run the Exchange BPA on the SBS 2008 server. Please Run the Remote Connectivity Analyzer: https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/ Frank Wang Forum Support Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help and unmark them if they provide no help. Hello thanks for the replies, in the meantime i have restored my server back to a date before the problem started but the prompt still appears on the Windows 7 workstations, would this suggest to you a problem or update to the workstations has caused this?

Hi Lee, Do you mean the Exchange 2007 is a guest virtual machine and you revert it to previous states by applying a snapshot? If yes, this is not supported. Could you please provide error messages which I asked ago? If possible, please install the latest Service pack in order to avoid some known issues.
