Is it possible within exchange 2007 to mount the LCR backup onto exchange 2007 on a different server with a different name in a recovery situation. In other words is there going to be an issue in using the LCR feature of exchange 2007 if the original server it was created on is beyond repair. Thanks

I haven't tried this with an LCR'ed databased but it would seem that you should be able to mount the database on another server and then use move-mailbox -TargetDatabase [NewServer\MountedDatabase] -ConfigurationOnly Of course your clients are going to need Outlook 2007 to make this work cleanly.
