Exchange 2007 Information Store restarts
I am running Exchange 2007 with a CCR and node has 32GB of memory. I have just stared seeing event 628 and 629 logged in the event logs. Yesterday a 629 appeared right before the Information store restarted. First, MSExchange Search Indexer started to show event 107 for each database and at the same time the MSExchange Cluster service logged an event 1005 and 1030. Everything seemed to come back on line but I'm afraid that since I can't pinpoint what happened, then I can't prevent it from happening again. Can someone help interpret the events and why the IS service restarted?

Hi Event 628 or 629 may have a problem regardless of which server copy we are talking about. It seems like the automatic defrag may not be completing. That could be leaving behind junk that is causing the indexing issue. You had better run eseutil to check your database. Event 1005 1030: If the named other node is actually running and the appropriate services are started, check why the communication to that node is failing. The problem could be as simple as a Network Cable that has become loose. Or it could be something more subtle like TCP/IP not being bound to that NIC card.
