Exchange 2007 Information Store Service fails to start after reboot
We have an Exchange 2007 (x64) server setup on a Windows Server 2008 (x64)virtual machine. After a reboot, the Information Store service fails to start automatically with event 7024 for service control manager. We are able to start the service manually and it stays up with no problems until a reboot. The event leads us to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/285116, which says that this issue is related to the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Exchange\Setup specifically the services value, which we have confirmed is present and correct. We have also checked the permissions for the key and confirmed that they correspond correctly with account that the service runs as. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks, Matt
