Exchange 2007 Increased Message Size for a User
Hello,I'm currently having an issue trying to increase the maximum send and receive size for an individual user over the default 10 MB limit.I know that in previous versions of Exchange server you could set limits at the user level that were higher than the organization limits to allow certain individuals to receive large attachments while limiting the majority of users. Here's some details of the current setup.[PS] C:\>Get-TransportConfig | ft maxsendsize, maxreceivesizeMaxSendSize MaxReceiveSize----------- --------------10MB 10MBAll of the receive connectors are set to a max size of 10 MB.I have set my mailbox to a limit of 20 MB for both send and receive. Now, I cannot receive an attachment for an external email address with a size of 11 MB.Does anyone have any ideas about what to check? Or have seen a similar issue?

i don't think you can allow a user to bypass the rest of the limitationsof the org, connectors etc.if you want to allow the message to exit your org you will need to allow this bigger size all the way out - see this article for scope of limits http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124345.aspxwe've got an IronPort Appliance at the edge of our network and I use its policies to segment what our users are allowed to send in terms of size, contents etc.
