Exchange 2007 Help I removed the legacy Public Folder Virtual Directory
Hi EveryoneI recently installed Exchange 2007. All went well. After install i did some cleanup and removed all leagacy virtual directories from IIS and with powershell for the following:Exchange(Default web site)exadmin(Default web site)Public(Default web site)oab(Default web site)I recently found out our mac users who use entourage need the public virtual directory in order for it to work correctly on exchange 2007.I have recreated the IIS Virtual Directory manually but how do i get it back into exchange2007 with powershell.I have tried the following powershell command to no avail:New-OwaVirtualDirectorySet-OwaVirtualDirectory--Set-OwaVirtualDirectory : The operation could not be performed because object 'mail01\Public (Default Web Site)' could not be found on domain controller 'dc'.Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. My Mac users are using OWA until i can get some closure on this..Thanks

Since two people are having the same problem, may I ask what is it that made you think you didn't need these virtual directories? Is it in the documentation somewhere? I ask because I'm one of the tech writers for Exchange. I'll ask around and see if someone here knows the answer. :-)

Hi Andrea,I'm in the same situation, except my Public directories were fowled up by a bad BES install. Any suggestion to recreate them would be great! (Or even a page number in the documentation...)Thanks,Z
