Exchange 2007 Global Address List Hidden, Showing Up In OWA Still
Having a problem with Exchange 2007, we're currently in the process of migrating from 2003 right now. We have two Global Address Lists, one being the Default, another for "certain" users. For security purposes we don't want to share this second Global Address list with Everyone. We have security set up on it so that it's denied and all of that is working 100% correct when connecting through Outlook. The problem is when connecting into OWA, it doesn't appear to be obeying it's security. That is, the book that should be hidden, and is hidden in Outlook, shows up for all users when logging into OWA. Is this known behavior? What can I do to correct this.

Below article helps you to hide it in OWA or give permission to access only one GAL to users. Yes that pretty much explains it. Our situation is a little different as we don't want to disallow everything, and only allow one list, we'd like to allow everything to show EXCEPT for this one list which we already have hidden through permissions in AD. We've decided to take a different approach on this and just eliminate the second GAL from showing up. So I will mark this answer as correct as it is DEFINITELY the closest thing to the real solution to this issue as I've seen. Thank you!
