Exchange 2007 Edge disk config
I need to install a Exchange 2007 Edge into a DMZ for a small network. Is there anything I should bare in mind with the hard disk logical sizing and raiding? I was thinking of creating a RAID10 set and have everything on one partition. There are about 70 mailboxes users.

The general recommendation is to separate mail.que and logs from system disks. This means two volumesaltogether with RAID 1 for the OS, Exchange binaries and pagefile. And RAID 10 for mail.que and logs. Thisprovides better performance and makes it also much easier to restore. For 70 users I wouldn't really sweat it honestly. It takes a significant amount of mail volume to really need to start thinking about this and 70 users generating a normal volume of mail isn't going to do it.A single RAID10 group will be more than enough. Just partition the box so the mail.que/trn files goes on its own partition. Active Directory, 4th Edition - www.briandesmond.com/ad4/
