Exchange 2007 Cross Forest Message Delivery Restrictions
Is it possible for Message Delivery restrictions in one forest to include members from another forest? For example: I have a distribution group in Forest A that can only be emailed by a few users based on the "Accept messages from only senders in the following list". Is there a way for me to add a user from Forest B into this accepted list, or is it required that the user reside in the same forest? Thanks!

You cannot add users from forest B since you can only select recipietn objects from your own forest.Havent tried this yet and dont know if it will work. Create mailenabled contacts in forest A for users in forest B and then include these contacts in the accepted deliver list.lasse at humandata dot se, http://anewmessagehasarrived.blogspot.com

I guess this is doubtful as exchange functionality dont span across Forests. The DL and Mailbox will be limited to its own forest Vinod |CCNA|MCSE 2003 +Messaging|MCTS|ITIL V3|

Haven't tested too, but I guess this should work.... Amit Tank | MVP Exchange Server | MCITP: EMA | MCSA: M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com

I ahve the same problem. I was able to add a email contactfor ausers of Forest A to forest b. I then able to send email to users in forest A. Note: I have Exchange 2007 servers in separate forest sharing the same namespace.

Thanks guys, this does work. I have a gal sync system in place between our other forest, but it's from Quest (QCS) and the way it creates the objects doesn't allow this to work for some reason. I just assumed the same would happen to contacts, I guess I should've tried first :)
