Exchange 2007 Certificate renewal failure
My boss noticed we are nearing the end of our third party cert with GeoTrust so he requested a renewal and sent me the results. I ran this command:Import-ExchangeCertificate -Path :C:\certs\new_cert.cer" | Enable-ExchangeCertificate -Services "SMTP,IMAP,POP,IIS"But it outputs this error:WARNING: An unexpected error has occurred and a Watson dump is being generated:The certificate with thumbprint XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX wasfound but is not valid for usage with Exchange Server (reason:PrivateKeyMissing).Enable-ExchangeCertificate : The certificate with thumbprint XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXwas found but is not valid for usage with Exchange Server (reason: PrivateKeyMissing). At line:1 char:92+ Import-ExchangeCertificate -Path "C:\certs\new_cert.cer" | Enable-ExchangeCertificate <<<< -Services "SMTP,IMAP,POP,IIS"I'm a loss...I don't ever recall installing a Private Key; maybe because that was a year ago. Can anyone help ASAP?
