Exchange 2007 Calendar issues
Hello, We are having an issue where users who have rights to other users calendars are putting appointments on those users calendars and they aren't showing up throughout the Exchange organization. They show up eventually, but sometimes not for 2 days. This has become a problem as we need those calendar appts visible right away. Please let me know if you can assist or need more info. Thanks Jeff Strachota

Thanks Jeff Strachota Are the shared calendars cached? If so, uncheck that option in Outlook. ( UNcheck Download Shared Folders under Account Settings) Also, test with OWA and see if the problem persists.

FYI, the appointments do show up properly in OWA immediately

FYI, the appointments do show up properly in OWA immediately Ok, sounds like a cache mode issue. I would disable the Download Shared Folders option or test Outlook in online mode to verify.

Thanks, should I uncheck the Download Shared Folders box on the person who is creating the appointments or on the people whose calendars she has rights to?

Thanks, should I uncheck the Download Shared Folders box on the person who is creating the appointments or on the people whose calendars she has rights to? The person who is creating the apppointments and caching the shared calendars. After unchecking that option close and re-open Outlook. If it still is slow, close Outlook, delete the associated .ost cache file on the user's workstation and re-open Outlook.
