Exchange 2007 Calendar Dispute
Hello, I have user A who says that they made a calendar entry several months ago (reoccurring every Monday for several months) with a room as a resource. Then user B schedules an entry with the same room at the same time on the same day. User A goes to the
room to find User B already there and says hey we have this room scheduled. Then they come to me! User A has the room scheduled on her calendar and in the scheduling assistant it shows the room, but on the rooms calendar it is not there. user B says hey when
I booked the room there were no entries out on the rooms calendar.
What can I do to investigate to see what happened?

Hi,
Does user B use cach modePLease check whether "Allow conflcits" option set false in resource mailbox settings. To do so..
1. Log onto OWA as yourself or another Exchange account.
2. Once logged on, select the arrow next to your name on the top right toolbar.
3. It will open a "Open another mailbox" option.
4. Type the alias of the resource and click OK.
5. It will open an OWA session to the resource.
6. Then you can click Options in top right and you'll have access to the resource options on the right menu.
Also you can see "allow"conflicts" theu below cmdlet.
get-mailboxcalendarsettings -identity XXXXX | fl
Confirm that AllowConflicts is set to false.
If all settings is fine and still you are getting issue then move resource mailbox into other store and then check the issue.

Hi,
If the allowconflict value
is already set to False and you can always reproduce this problem, I recommend we create a new resource mailbox for testing.

Hi, sorry. I don't think that this is related to exchange....I think it is user induced. I had the user completely removed the meeting and to recreate it from scratch to see if the issue arises again. Thank you.
