Exchange 2007 Admin Boundaries
We are going to consolodate several Exchange 2000 Servers, each belonging to their own E2K Admin Groups. The goal is to see if it is feasible to move all mailboxes to one Exchange 2007 Server located in a central site. However, the administrative boundaries will be broken since Exchange 2007 has only one Admin Group. For instance - Server 1, Server 2, Server 3 all to be consolodated onto one E2K7 Server with separate Databases/SGs for each. How can we assign separate administrators to each SG/DB? This is not possible I believe. Can someone confirm? Thanks! Michael

You cannot assign administrators for each SG/DB. Howerver, you have the option of assigning what each admin can do on the server. See the following link: http://www.msexchange.org/articles_tutorials/exchange-server-2007/management-administration/exchange-2007-permissions-and-roles-part1.html
