Exchange 2007 : User assigns task to another user - will updates be present on both users Task items?
Hi,
I am trying to figure out if it is possible in Exchange 2007 to get the following to work.
Assume we have User1 and User2. User1 adds an item in his Task list.
The next day he needs to assign this to User2 since he can not complete the Task. He forwards the Task to User2.
If User2 now would Complete the Task, will that information get back into the Task item present on User1's Task list in Outlook?
They are both on the same Exchange 2007 system.
Sincerely,
Andreas

Yes. You don't forward but assign the task. When user 2 complete the task they must update the progress and then it should prompt to send an update back to User 1.

Sounds great!
It seems though that the functionality of Assigning to another person is not present when running
OWA.
Sincerely,
Andreas

Assigned tasks cannot be modified using Microsoft Outlook Web Access. To modify an assigned task, use a different program, such as Microsoft Office Outlook.
