Exchange 2007 - Resource delegate never receives forwarded meeting requests for approval
Thanks for the reply Fiona. We've compared the differences and the only properties that are different on the one that's not working are: DeleteSubject : False AddOrganizerToSubject : False We didn't think these would make a difference but could change them if you think that may help. For now I will try moving the mailbox to another database. Creating a new one to replace may be problematic as it is a heavily used conference room. We may have to get creative if it comes down to that one, unless there's a way to backup and restore the events in a single resource room? I'll keep you posted on the mailbox move. Hi, Thanks for the update. We may export the events to a PST file via Outlook export&import tool, or via the EMS cmdlet, and then import it to the newly created mailbox. It appears that moving the mailbox to another store did not work.

Sorry for the late response. No further questions. I think we need to rebuild the resource room and import the the events from the backed-up pst as you suggested. We just need to schedule downtime for this process. Thanks for all of your help.

We are running Exchange 2007 SP3 on Windows 2008 SP2. We've used the following articles to attempt to resolve this issue without success: http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2007/05/14/3402515.aspx http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesvrgeneral/thread/d2b2e42d-99c4-4b1f-9a03-c083963283ad/ http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-AU/exchangesvradmin/thread/8dd9bb8f-2653-48af-8a0f-49dfd8bb6eb2 The resource room has the following properties: [PS] C:\Users\wally\Desktop>Get-MailboxCalendarSettings indlgconf |fl AutomateProcessing : AutoAccept AllowConflicts : False BookingWindowInDays : 180 MaximumDurationInMinutes : 1440 AllowRecurringMeetings : True EnforceSchedulingHorizon : True ScheduleOnlyDuringWorkHours : False ConflictPercentageAllowed : 0 MaximumConflictInstances : 0 ForwardRequestsToDelegates : True DeleteAttachments : True DeleteComments : True RemovePrivateProperty : True DeleteSubject : False DisableReminders : True AddOrganizerToSubject : False DeleteNonCalendarItems : True TentativePendingApproval : True EnableResponseDetails : True OrganizerInfo : True ResourceDelegates : {Contoso.com/Information Technology/Infrastructure/Wally} RequestOutOfPolicy : AllRequestOutOfPolicy : False BookInPolicy : AllBookInPolicy : False RequestInPolicy : AllRequestInPolicy : True AddAdditionalResponse : False AdditionalResponse :

The problem is the resource delegate (Wally in this case) never receives a forwarded meeting request for approval. Instead the calendar requests are automatically approved and nothing is delivered to Wally for approval. If we make a brand new resource room to test with, the meeting request gets forwarded to Wally for approval. What else can we check within Exchange/OWA to resolve this issue?

Hi there, You may compare the outcome of Get-MailboxCalendarSettings for the working resource mailbox and the problematic resource mailbox to see if there is any difference. If all are the same, then I am suspecting the problematic resource mailbox is somehow corrupted, and I would suggest you move the mailbox to another dababase or, create a new mailbox to replace it. Hope it is helpful. Fiona Liao TechNet Community Support
