Exchange 2007 - Queue Viewer
Hello All,New to Exchange 2007. Was looking in the Queue Viewer and noticed it is full of stuff. One that catches my eye is cn=first routing group.....is full of messages that are titled PublicFoldersDatabase@domainname.com Why are all of these in there and the other messages in the queue viewer? On Exchange 2003 there was not any of this and I only saw messages that were in the queue on the way out......Thanks!

Hi,The messages which are titled publicfoldersdatabase@domain.com are the messages that will be send to replicate the content of the public folders. Do you have multiple servers ? If so check that you can send messages between the two servers. Regards, Johanblog: www.johanveldhuis.nl

Dear WMB63, From your post, I guess his mean is that, use a user whose mailbox is stored at one server to send e-mail to other user whose mailbox is stored on another sever, and check whether you can succeed? If you have many public folders on more than two Exchange servers, Public folder databases replication between them may cause this issue. Public folder databases replicate two types of public folder information: n Hierarchy Properties of the folders and organizational information about the folders (including the tree structure). All public folder databases have a copy of the hierarchy information. For a specific folder, the public folder database can use hierarchy information to identify the following: l Permissions on the folder l Servers that hold content replicas of the folder l The folder's position in the public folder tree (including its parent and child folders, if any) n Content Messages that form the content of the folders. To replicate content, you must configure a folder to replicate its content to a specific public folder database or list of databases. Only the databases that you specify will have copies of the content. A copy of the folder that includes content is called a content replica. Also, I want to confirm the following information with you: 1. send the screenshot of it to v-rocwan@microsoft.com. 2. Run the following command and send the result into the forum. Get-publicfolderdatabase | fl * For more information about Public Folder Replication, please refer to the followingarticles: Understanding Public Folder Replication http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb397221.aspx Public Folder Replication Troubleshooting Basics http://www.msexchange.org/articles/Public-Folder-Replication-Troubleshooting.html when you send e-mail to me, please let me know the URL of the post.
