Exchange 2007 - Public Folders
I'm unable to start the Public Store in our Exchang 2007 server. This is the error I get when trying to mount the store:
Exchange is unable to mount the database that you specified. Specified database: abe0fbb4-8b92-4bcd-b1a6-2625f0b59482; Error code:MapiExceptionCallFailed: Unable to mount database. (hr=0x80004005, ec=-528)
I ran updates and rebooted the server. After quite a bit of looking on the web, I haven't been able to find anything. I tried repairing the DB, but no change. I also can't acess the Public Folder Management in EMC. It doesn't even show up there....

The first, and most obvious question would be what updates did you install, and did the database mount after you removed them?

This server was installed in spring and the Public Folders have not been looked into for serveral months, so I don't know of any particular update that might cause this. The mailbox database seems fine. It's just the PF's that are not working.
Since there is nothing in there, is there a simple way to reconstruct that database? The PF's have not data, but I just want to be sure that the mailboxes are not interfered with if we can recreate the Public Folders.
Thanks!

Did you try the resolution suggested in the KB?

I looked at the securtiy, but I guess I would image that if it were a rights issue, the private store would not mount either? Again, if there is a way to replace/create a new store I have no problem with that. They have need of shared calendars and there is nothing in the store right now.

Do youy have any other ideas for me? Like I said, I would have no problem creating a new Public Store. I just need to keep the Mail store intact.
Thanks!
