Exchange 2007 - Mailbox size limit question
We had an end user hit their mailbox size limit, we changed their limit to an higher limit, but after 30 minutes the mailbox is still rejecting email. Does anyone know of a way to force this setting? We are at the latest rollup for Exchange 2007 SP2. Thanks in Advanced

The replication can take some time, up to one hour (personal experience). You can restart the exchange information store service, then it should work at once. But is it worth? You can also create a pst file and swap some data in there.

Is there any way to force replication?

You'll have to restart the IS to force it. Or move the mailbox. For future reference: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb684892(EXCHG.80).aspx Mailbox Size Limits Are Not Enforced in a Reasonable Period of Time

I think the only to enforce it, is to restart the information store. That is also sayed in the technet article.

You were right on the money with the replication, it was just about an hour and mail started to flow once again to the mailbox.
