Exchange 2007 - Autodiscovery misconfiguration
Hi all,
Exchange is not configured to use a certificate for Outlook Anywhere (see below). However, the "Connect using SSL only" option is ticked again automatically and the URL populated as well and I'm pretty sure its Autodiscover doing this.
[PS] C:\>Get-OutlookProvider
Name Server CertPrincipalName TTL
---- ------ -----------------
---
EXCH 1
EXPR
1
WEB 1
I'm not sure how to fix this as the settings in Exchange seems to be correct. When I run the get-outlookAnywhere command, the information looks alos correct - the only weird thing here is why do I get two sets of data returned? Can this be because this server
houses the OAB?

Any idea on how to fix this?

Why aren't you using a certificate? That means all authentication and communication is going across the Internet in the clear. Depending on the industry that you are in, that may well be a breach of data protection regulations, and if you have people who
do HR then it will be.
It will be autodiscover that is "correcting" the configuration. I am not aware of a way that you can change that behaviour because the feature is designed to be used with an SSL certificate.
